Introduction
We built this infrared heating lamp for one reason: to fix the headache of Krones Contiform heater lamp failures. It’s a straight-up, drop-in replacement, ready to roll out across the global blow molding market. The whole point was to make it universally compatible and always available, so you can cut through the downtime that plagues over 95% of blow molding equipment.
The Power and Size, Explained Simply
Our lamp runs on a 400V high-voltage setup. There’s a good reason for that. High voltage means a tight, focused blast of heat right where you need it—on the PET preform. You get rapid heating without overloading your machine’s electrical system. The lamp is a standard 300mm long and packs 2500W of power. We dialed those specs in to match the heating chamber of most machines. It’s a precise fit, so you don’t have to worry about the lamp bumping into other parts.
The Heart of the Lamp: The Halogen Core
Inside, you’ve got a shortwave halogen element, all tucked into a quartz tube. Halogen technology is the real deal—it keeps the heat output steady over its whole life. No fading performance that leads to wonky bottle quality. The tube itself has a special coating that can take the stress of turning on and off again and again. For you, that means fewer replacements. And the connector? It’s the universal R7s base. So you can wire it up across different brands without hunting for custom adapters.
Real-World Performance and What to Keep in Mind
Out on the shop floor, this lamp is the go-to fix for Contiform and other blow molding machines. It delivers the intense heat needed to get PET preforms to the perfect stretch temperature. But here’s the thing about that 2500W power—it does create extra ambient heat. Your machine’s cooling system needs to be up to the task. If the cooling is too small, the lamp will wear out faster. We keep these in stock so we can get your line back up and running when you need it most.
