What It’s Made Of—And Why It Matters
Inside, you’ve got a heavy-duty quartz tube housing a halogen element. The halogen cycle keeps the filament stable, so output stays consistent over time. The quartz body is coated to manage how heat radiates and to shield the element from the stress of repeated heating and cooling. Then there’s the R7s connector. It anchors everything with a solid, two-point electrical contact that holds up against vibration and thermal cycling. This is where many standard lamps fall apart. We reinforced it because it deserves the extra muscle.
