What matters, technically
We design these emitters around your blow molder’s heating geometry, not around a catalog page. You can spec quartz or halogen, short-wave or medium-wave output, and dial in the watt density your preform recipe calls for. Power comes as 120V, 230V, or 240V, and you can run standard R7s bases or go with custom terminal blocks for a direct drop-in wiring fit. The lamp length is cut to your exact envelope. That keeps the heating profile tight across the neck and body—no cold zones, no surprises.
Why it holds up in real production
Going custom on length takes the guesswork out of heating alignment. You stop fighting uneven temperatures, and the blow molder can hold the cycle it was designed to run. The payoff shows up as fewer rejects, less trim waste, and bottle weight that stays consistent. Energy use comes down because the emitter puts heat straight into the preform, with fast response and minimal standby loss. In the field, we’re seeing stable output well past 5,000 hours, and the lamp geometry keeps hot spots off the conveyor and reflector hardware.
What you need to get right
These lamps are engineered as direct replacements, but your blow molder’s socket, mounting clips, and reflector shape have to match the length and diameter you order. Measure the existing lamp, confirm wattage and voltage, and double-check clearance around the preform path. If your heating tunnel sits at high ambient temperature, specify the high-temp lead option. It’s a small detail that prevents premature insulation fatigue.
