Why this is different from a regular heater
Here’s the thing: standard heaters just warm up the air. That sounds fine, but it often leaves your walls cold, which is exactly how you get condensation and that gross, damp smell. Our lamps use short-wave radiation. Instead of heating the air, they heat the actual surfaces—your walls, your floors, the grout. When your walls stay warm, water can’t settle on them. It basically pushes the moisture out of your tiles and grout. It’s like having a dehumidifier that you don’t have to empty.
Built for the steam (and the splashes)
Bathrooms are honestly a nightmare for electronics. Between the steam and the occasional splash, things break. That’s why we built these to IP55 standards. In plain English? They’re dust-proof and can handle water jets from any angle. You can put them right in the shower zone and not spend your morning worrying about a short circuit. One heads-up: these things pack a punch to get the steam cleared out fast. Because they pull a decent amount of power when they first kick on, just make sure your circuit breaker can handle the load.
A few tips on where to put them
Infrared heat is directional. It’s like a flashlight—if you point it in one corner, the opposite wall stays cold. If you want to totally kill off those damp pockets where mold loves to grow, you have to think about the “beam.” You might find that two smaller lamps work way better than one big one. It’s a little more wiring during setup, but it’s worth it to actually get every inch of the room dry.
